The course is designed to offer updated information about lung tumours and other thoracic neoplasms. Understanding of lung cancer mechanism and pathogenesis has been changed very fast, and new knowledge impact directly all players involved in lung cancer patients. The interaction among oncologists, thoracic surgeons, pathologists and molecular biologists is mandatory for the best of our patients. The present course will cover the main advances in our understanding of lung pathology, including common and rare tumours, and the necessary interaction between pathologists, oncologists and thoracic surgeons. It is also designed to allow discussions in order to bring to the pathologists all important aspects in the treatment of the diseases.
